Volunteers of the Month (May 2018)

Wilson Huang, 19

How long have you been volunteering for? Since August 2017.
How many days do you volunteer? Usually one day a fortnight.
What and where are you studying? I am studying a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Advanced) as well as a Diploma of Arts at the University of Sydney.
What are your passions? I am passionate about social justice and a keen student of philosophy.
What do you like the most about working at the Two Wolves? Meeting new people and learning new skills.
How did you get to know The Two Wolves? I visited once with a university society, and I thought it would be good to volunteer.
Have you been on an immersion? No.
What are your plans for 2018? I plan to continue studying at university.
Why would you recommend volunteering at The Two Wolves? I think it is a great place to learn new skills while giving back to the community.

 


 

Bec Koelmeyer, 20

How long have you been volunteering for? Nearly one year!
How many days do you volunteer? Once a week.
What and where are you studying? I am studying a Bachelor of Arts/Law at the University of Sydney.
What are your passions? All day breakfast menus, travel and human rights.
What do you like the most about working at the Two Wolves? Working with a bunch of fun, genuine and like-minded people whilst knowing your time is having a practical impact abroad.
How did you get to know The Two Wolves? A friend recommended it!
Have you been on an immersion? I went to Thailand and Vietnam in January 2018, and I’m going to Zambia this July!
What are your plans for 2018? Currently taking applications for a life planner.
Why would you recommend volunteering at The Two Wolves? Working with such a great bunch of like-minded people who all share the same passion to give back – double bonus of a great time whilst doing it!
